Overall best zoo experience, you get to be in the open air not jam packed in say the "Philadelphia Zoo", you have the ability to watch them during feedings with the bears, lions, tigers, leopards and jaguars. It's an amazing experience if you have young children, they sell you cookies to feed the bears and corn to feed the wandering deer which are awesome. If you're an adult looking to see some history, they have a large museum set up with cars, motorcycle, working tools and etc.
My grandson and I had a delightful afternoon wandering the grounds of space farm I'm visiting all the animals. The place needs an updating to be sure. It's rough to see some of the animals in such small enclosures by themselves. But for a little boy it was a delight to feed the goats and the deer to be able to stand 8 feet from a lion and a bison.
Not like other zoos, this one is much more open, so small kids can also enjoy the animals from such a nice distance. Till now, I didn't see any tiger or lion from such an open area. There are picnic areas inside so anyone can bring their own food and enjoy it. At the entrance, there is a small cafeteria where you can find pizza and some other foods. Museums are also good.
