Calvary Assembly of God

This has been my 'home church' for going on 27 yrs now. It began in a much smaller location on W. Chestnut st, Union,N.J. then the congregation grew + especially the boys & girls group grew in a big way so a bigger church was really needed. So, like a true
Pentecostal church, the Pastor + others fervently prayed for a bigger one...
and we got one. The present one is HUGE + Really beautiful . Even though it's called Assembly of God, Pentecostal is part of that grouping. There is a big emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit here and you can feel it once you become part of the church and spend time there.
I received a second 'anointing ' in the Holy Spirit here + several more times afterwards. There is a feeling among most of the members there of being part of a 'team' and there is alot of love shown to each other. This is not to say that it is a perfect church but every church has it's problems in some way or other. In the words of our Pastor's wife - we call Sister 'B' - the church is like a hospital. Some people have unrealistic expectations that in a church are perfect people. That's not the way it works. There are many who are imperfect + have problems. They are there to be ministered to + also to minister to others.

This church is great the pastor keeps it modern and everyone feels welcome there

Christ Centered, Spirit Filled, Missions Focused, Word of God preached and taught with anointing and authority. Beautiful Children's ministry. There is something for everyone in the family, led with love and truth.

A warm place to be plugged into. Keeps you grounded and rooted in God's Word and focused on Christ.

Christ centered, people loving and missions focused church. My family and I are blessed to be a part of this church. My children have benefited greatly from the children's program.
