21-day rehab coming off a horrendous covid fiasco. Excellent experience. Staff were awesome. OT and PT team did fantastic work with me. LPN's and nurses were so much better than expectations. I never paid attention to the type of person attracted to care-giver roles. My appreciation for those who do soared. Can't believe there are that many folks who thrive in that environment. Even the daily cleaning staff were way better than I thought they could be. All around good work from people cared. I was mobile and able to communicate so that probably made a difference compared to those with limitations, or others who are placed by relatives. But I can tell you my experience left nothing to be desired, and everyone was responsive. Clean. Safe. Friendly. Decent food. Responsive. Can't say enough. Best possible experience you could have
My mother in-law was there only for a couple of days this week. Everyone seemed very attentive to her needs and care. No one hesitated to call us to keep us informed of her condition throughout her stay. When she started to get worse and they couldn’t get ahold of her personal doctor or he brushed off her pain as needing more pain pills, her nurse at The Rio called us and told us. She was sent to the ER. It turns out she has covid. I honestly feel they did an amazing job and helped save her life. While my father-in-law was alive he had to stay at other facilities that were horrible. I pray that my mother in-law is fortunate enough to stay here again if ever she needs to.
As is life, unexpected things happen... my uncle needed to stay at RLE and it was my first experience with a facility like this so I was worried. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff was friendly and treated my uncle with dignity and respect.
One of my favorite things coming back to the Rio at Las estancias is all the fun things to do in activities. Arts and crafts, entertainment, Edna knows how to throw a good party for the residents here. I love the fireplace, the staff is so warm, they make you feel wanted.
