Love Father Mike! He gives a little history lesson before the readings on Sunday so you really understand what going on in the Bible readings.
Moved here in August and found this church in my area. I love the fact the priest tells a story before the readings about them. It makes it so nice to understand and imagine. I also believe each mass has its own choir which is also nice. Nice interior. The confessional is located next to the chapel with a nice built in bench for folks to sit while they wait which is not directly in the sanctuary part.
Father Shea is a true leader of his flock. He educates and inspires me and my family to strive to be better people and live our lives according to God's will.
My wife loves the priest there but, in my opinion, like most other Catholic churches, they spend WAY too much on them. The house of God shouldn't be pretentious nor a competition to be the best. My favorite church used to be Chimayo. That is until they downgraded it by making it more touristy. That's the Catholic church for you. Making gaudy improvements to make a buck. Oh well.
Nice place for Mass, the Sunday evening service is packed. Good music. I particularly like it when Deacon Barkocy does the Homily, he is inspiring and mixes humor in to keep your attention. Your teens will react positively to his homilies.
