The Ranger at the Visitor Center was informative and helped us decide which location was right for us to view. They do issue warnings about leaving items in your vehicle. We had no issue. The welcome video at the Center helps provide an overview as well as an understanding of what you will be seeing.
Worth the trip! Nice walk in the desert, not too strenuous, but loose sand. Some folks wore sandals, I was happy with my sneaker-like walking shoes. No facilities or water so go prepared.
Very Clean. Great Trail & conditions excellent. I visit Monday mornings, so some weekend visitors that do not bag dog droppings.
Overall visitors keep area clean and trash free. Visitors with dogs always have them in a leash & regular visitors are very friendly!
Trail to right skirts Petroglyphs and loops around to the back. A nice bench about a mile in to regroup.
Highly recommend dressing in layers as Canyon Winds make it cool in mornings but after 8AM. you warm up quickly. No water station so bring it. Bathroom at parking station only. Enjoy!
It was a nice path to check out some of the history the natives of New Mexico left behind.
Very cool great photos. I gets hot so take water and bring sunglasses
