  I had my vehicle break down at the very edge of Southeast Albuquerque while I was on my way home to Tijeras. I had no help or way of getting a ride from a ride service or from family with my car battery dead as well as my cellphone also dead. It was about 10pm and as our last resort my boyfriend and I started walking to the mountains. We finally made it to Tijeras and thankfully Sheriff Cordova and a couple other Sheriff's were at the station. I asked for a ride to my house and Sheriff Cordova was more than happy to help. He was so respectful, understanding, and kind which was really needed especially after walking in the cold, windy weather from Tramway all the way to Tijeras. I'm happy to know that Sheriff Cordova and all of BCSO are keeping my community safe but, also care enough to go out of their way to make sure that we're safe even when it's not a violent, chaotic, dangerous, or life threatening situation. So thank you Sheriff Cordova and the rest of BCSO. It's truly a breath of fresh air when it comes to law enforcement and to know that there are good people like you doing what you do. Your professionalism and passion to "serve and protect" is contagious and will really make a difference wherever you are. Thank you!
