Vocal-NY had a members meeting there with chapters from around the state. It's a good place for social justice and human rights activists to meet. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and delis on the block.
The people that worked there were very nice and helpful, but some of the people that were there were not very nice at all!!!!
A nice space available to folks for a variety of purposes related to social change, community building, and social justice.
A bit small, but quaint and charming.
This is a great place to see wat the locals are putting back into the community
I like the work that is being done there. My only concern is that the police are seen as adversaries which may be a slanted view given the work the center does but I don't think it helps in developing a working relationship. To be fair, this was my only experience with the center and it was my impression of one person's discussion.
