Wonderful school! Worth every penny because the teachers invest time in teaching and 95% of the time the kids are well behaved. Hence a stable home environment and attentive parents. My kids have been going there for 8 yrs so that says enough. I have enough confidence to send them to an Ivy league school i.e. Yale or Princeton.
Friendly staff, clean facilities. My daughter really enjoys going to school, from a 3 year old, that's saying something
I attended this school a very long time ago for several years. The teachers who were easiest to work with were the lay teachers.
I don't know how it is now, but back then, the convent's religious order had been The Sisters of Mercy and they taught there. Perhaps they were dragooned into teaching when it wasn't what they truly wanted to do- I don't know. I do know that they were pretty free with corporal punishment and that they were often scary, mean, temperamental and bitter. I remember a couple of nice nuns but most of them were not.
I never had a problem with any of the lay teachers or with the priests or monsignor.
Another thing I remember (on the positive side) is that, although the classes usually had about 40 kids, the teachers (including the nuns) kept excellent order and were able to effectively teach us.
So as long as they've knocked off the beatings and bitter old maid nonsense- I'm sure it's a great school now.
