    Well restored WWII Destroyer Escort. Informative and useful pre-tour video, knowledgeable and helpful volunteers. Be aware, this is a warship, built in the 1940s intended to be mostly crewed by young men between 18 and 40 years old. It has steep stairways, ladders, hatches, and watertight doors, all of which are authentic, but require some agility and awareness of your surroundings to successfully and safely move about the ship. Enjoy!

    Austin was *chefs kiss* wonderful. He was knowledgeable, charming, and easy going. Guided tours are awesome because someone explains the history while letting your eyes explore. I would definitely recommend!

    Fred S. was out tour guide and it was a little over an hour. He did a great job showing us around and giving us the in-depth history of the USS Slater.

    One of the best historically accurate and upkept museum ships in the world.
    The volunteers are goind a great at restoring the destroyer escort.
    My interest in naval history got me a private tour to the off-limit compartments, that was very nice of the guide.
