They should seriously consider allowing people to become provisionally certified without the 3 reference letters like OASAS does with the CASAC-T after you finish the 350-hour education requirement. Being provisionally certified this way will make CPS' more employable after completing the Academy program because clinics and other places will see the value in having another staffer whose services can be billed with Medicaid from day one. References should only be mandatory after working and having some level of supervision on the job.
