(January 16, 2021, 2:03 pm)Not going in person now, but watching the live stream. After my shots in Mar/Apr, I will go back to sing, in person! Still with a mask on, for awhile. Hopefully by then, some of my fellow-singers will also start coming back too!
(July 19, 2020, 8:21 am)A very welcoming faith community. The homilies are truly reflective of the teachings of Jesus and the music ministry is amazing.
(March 9, 2016, 9:08 am)It is the true meaning of church. God is present in the unity you see in this church and it's congregation. The inclusivity is heart warming. There is no judgement, no place of honor it is all about Our Lord and His desire for us all to be one community. When Mass is celebrated it is in fact a celebration with singing and smiles and joy. From beginning to end you feel a part of everything even though from another church Catholic or not. It's beautiful and I have seldom felt closer to what Christ intended when He spoke of His people. The traditional church isn't here that is true but then most of what people get wrapped around are human ceremonies created by humans for humans and much like the Pharisees of Christ's time some people have become focused on the how it's done instead of the why. Jesus spoke Aramaic and in that language there is no phrase, "This is my body" so He could not have said those exact words. If you are looking for a church that practices the love of God then come to St. Vincent's.
(September 4, 2014, 4:14 pm)This church is an inclusive and warm community that welcomes worshippers and challenges us all to live the gospel. The joy and respect is evident and so very different from the formulaic, rote liturgical celebrations of other parishes that stand against so much but for nothing at all except enforcing arcane rules. St. Vincent's is a living, breathing replica of apostolic life, recognizing as it does all the gifts and limitations of people trying to further the gospel. Prejudice and preconceptions have little place here.
