  Went to this little gem! AMAZING! While we waited for our food we had some baklava. The moistest baklava I have ever had! We ordered chicken over rice lamb shank over rice and a gyro. Everything was amazing! The best I have had in a very long time! You can honestly tell when someone really cares about the product they serve! I will definitely be going back!

  We really enjoyed the food. Everything was special for us.
  The chicken kabob over rice and fish over rice was so tasty we came from Texas and enjoyed the food. However the restaurant was not open for the dine in but we really appreciate they give us fresh,hot and good food on a snowy day.
  But definitely we will be back again to have a dine in there.

  It's not often I find an Afghan restaurant, so when I saw this on our trip to Albany I wanted to try it.
  
  My husband and I shared:
  - Falafel Pita Wrap
  - Badenjan
  - Mix Gyro Over Rice
  - Bolani
  
  I enjoyed everything, but my two favorite things were the Bolani and the Mix Gyro Over Rice. We got takeout and all of it held up very well with takeout.

  I can't believe I waited this long to review one of my favorite restaurants in Albany! This "hole in the wall" Afghan food is splendid. It's a discreet little series of shops and Middle Eastern restaurants right on Central Ave. The food is absolutely delicious, mostly consisting of kabobs of different meats. My personal favorite is the simple chicken over rice dish which is only $7 at the time of this writing. Regardless of your order, be sure to try their red, green and white sauce all have a unique flavor and are a luxury to the taste buds. They only have canned soda, so I'd recommend trying some Afghan Doogh drink or tea. It's a quiet, small casual environment. Enjoy!

  Their chicken kababs are best in town. I love their falafal and chicken over rice too. very authentic food and very cheap too. If u go for dinner, be aware where u park ur car. The neighborhood is not so safe. Our car was broken once fo steal the handbag on rear seat.
