  My mom and dad had prepaid cremation plans down in North Carolina. My dad died in the 90s and mom moved back up here and transferred her plan to Meyers Funeral Home in 2002.
  My mom died at 98 two weeks ago and ALL I had to do was make ONE phone call to Stephen Meyers and he took care of EVERYTHING. He picked up her body at the hospital about 3 hours (!) after I called him and she was sent to cremation immediately.
  He called when her ashes and death certs. were available and I was able to pick them up at my convenience.
  I will be pre-paying my own cremation with him once the dust settles with my mom, and hopefully my husband will want to do the same.
  I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

  I’ve only dealt with Stephen, he helped me with both of my parents services as well as other family members. Kind, knowledgeable, even made me aware of a death benefit I received I otherwise would not have known about. They are so accommodating and have seen it all! Their space is very large, cozy and not corporate. Private services! He just made the hardest time of my life so much easier and I’m so thankful for them. Edit to add: both of my parents were open casket and they looked much like themselves and not creepy or overdone. So whoever does the preparing and presentation deserves an award as well as the hairstyling. Handled all my requests. Seems morbid but I will mention it because it DOES MATTER!

  Mr. Brooks:
  I do not know who you spoke to at the funeral home, benefits are available in most cases that families are not aware of. Did you talk to one of the directors at the funeral? I was not aware of any flowers falling over and no one talked to me on that. I would like to know who you talked to at the funeral home. Also if the person was talking to you to long you could have just walked away.

  Meyers funeral home was compassionate, professional and courteous in our time of need. Their attention to detail was outstanding. I highly recommend owners Ben and Stephen Meyers.
