We have use the college advisor twice, and both of our kids have gotten into their first choice of colleges. The professionalism and warm support of our kids has been amazing! It takes the stress off of the parents just about completely. I think the kids really liked working independently with the staff at college advisor, it makes them feel like an adult responsible for their own future, which they are. College advisor does a very good job of helping students select reasonable colleges to apply to and managing expectations appropriately for all concerned. There ethical and kind! I have recommended their services to multiple others who have also been extremely pleased.
College AdvisorNY helped us get our student through what had been looming like an overwhelming process; plus they removed the excess anxiety, hounding, and nagging from mom and dad from the process.
Our son was able to speak freely (many clam up when talking to parents) and work with his coach on everything from making sure he was showing the best version of himself on applications and essays to preparation for scholarship interviews.
My husband and I appreciated the guidance we received through the financial aid process. To have someone knowledgeable in this arena check our work on such a thorough application was incredibly helpful and reassuring.
Our student applied to a range of schools and had a great selection to choose from when it came time to decide. He is now settled at his first choice college, which he, my husband, and I all felt very comfortable with. We feel our student is in the appropriate environment to succeed and grow, academically and socially.
College Advisor of NY, and particularly Dean and Beth, have been fabulous in supporting my son moving through the college application process. There was a lot to learn and to consider, not only in terms of logistics but in terms of search strategy. Everything has turned out to be much easier than expected. Their support with the application, the essays, and the financial aid has been key. We strongly recommend them!!
Dean and the staff at College Advisor of NY were very knowledgable and informative. They did a great job and were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them to any family beginning their college journey.
