Children's Eyes Albany

We have been going to Children’s Eyes Albany for a few years now. While we see Dr. Barry and he is great . This new location is really nice clean and welcoming with a great area for the kids to keep them entertained. I am most impressed with Jessica the optician. She is a welcoming patient person. Always proving us with as many fixes as my daughter can manage to require and it’s free of cost. My daughter like most kids is rough with her glasses but “it’s ok Jessica will fix them” is what she always says. While our insurance isn’t accepted for the glasses she has in stock, which is an amazing array. The personal care and comfort and connivence of having her right there are priceless. Plus I love that she speaks directly to my kid. After all it is my daughter who will be wearing the glasses not me. It’s up to her what she chooses.

I have been dreading taking my newly 3 year old daughter to the eye Dr and having her eyes dilated... But this place was beyond amazing. There was no wait, they took us right in... The entire staff was amazing with my nervous 3 year old, they made her laugh and engage for the entire 2 hour appointment. They were great putting the drops in her eye, they had a waiting room full of toys that she got to play in while waiting for the drops to kick in, and they had a ton of glasses to choose from that our insurance covered. I couldn't have asked for a better visit, my daughter didn't want to leave lol she can't wait to go back in 3 months

The doctors and staff were amazing! I took my 19 month old to get an initial eye check. She’s a clingy, whiny toddler who hates other people so I was a nervous wreck. The staff were able to keep her happy and engaged so they could do a thorough exam. They have an excellent waiting room equipped with movies and toys to keep little ones entertained for the time you need to wait. I highly recommend!

We have twins and they needed a routine checkup. Though, our appointment was at 1:30 pm, we were able see the doctor around 2:30 pm. Despite the wait, it was a good experience. Staff members were nice and friendly.
