(maiden name, so you probably won't recognize it) We love this practice. Dr Mike is great and very supportive of our choices and homeschooling. He truly cares and takes concerns seriously, like every doctor should. The nurses are terrific too. I also hear great things about Dr Lemons but my children see Dr Mike and love him. I particularly adore how much they encourage and appreciate children's art! I feel very comfortable taking my kids here, and without going into anymore detail, I'm glad we've never been put in a position where we need to seek out a different ped. He would never give up on my kids, and I appreciate that.
FEBRUARY 2024 EDIT: Dr. Mike is retiring, and sadly we find ourselves switching providers, but luckily found an amazing family nurse practitioner in Clifton Park! We'll miss Dr. Mike, and I'm forever grateful for him!!
I like Dr. Lemons and all the nurses and nurse practitioners at the office. We’ve seen Casey Feldman most frequently and she’s great. I love the office’s responsiveness to both text and phone, I love being able to schedule same-day sick appointments and urgent Saturday appointments. They take the sick visits in through the back door and directly into a room, and even on well visits I don’t come across anyone in the waiting room.
My one and only complaint and disappointment is them not administering the covid vaccine. We had to wait until August for the Capital Care’s clinics when the vaccine first became available for kids under 5 in 2022. I never even heard about the omicron booster for kids until it was too late. And now with the new seasonal booster I am again frustrated and struggling to find appointments for my 3 year old. I shouldn’t be alone in this, I should be able to trust our pediatrician to have us covered.
They stock and administer the flu vaccine but they don’t proactively inform us it’s time to come in for a shot. I’d expect my kids’ healthcare provider to lead the charge in guiding me regarding their vaccines, even if they’re the seasonal ones. So, I’m disappointed and unhappy with regard to the seasonal vaccines, but happy with everything else so far (2 years in).
We transferred our daughter to Dr Mike a couple of years ago, and it has been night and day. The office staff are always gracious, the office is text friendly, and we've always gotten in for same day appointments when needed. We were happy with our former provider but the office staff in particular left a lot of things lacking and just in general, Dr Mike has always given us time to ask questions and has been supportive of us wanting to be fully educated parents when it comes to our child's health care.
