  Always been one of my favorite destination within the easy reach. I have visited here during all seasons but Fall is the most beautiful time to visit Bear Mountain.
  
  The tower atop remains open through the summer but it closed by the start of fall.
  
  To best enjoy the fall one should park the car few miles down the slope and climb the peak walking the paved road.
  
  Sunset is mesmerizing here throughout the year!
  
  Best spot for a weekend picnic during the summer.
  
  The pet zoo at the foot of the hill is also enjoyable for the kids.

  A rehabilitating excursion from anywhere! Majestic views in all directions, with nearby West Point and distant Manhattan visible on clear days. Frequent events like vintage car shows, custom motorcycles and Oktoberfest (2-hour wait on the line to the bathroom, so drink accordingly!). Parking plentiful.

  Wife and I used to live nearby in Highland Falls. We enjoy rucking and participating in endurance events. We have recently moved from the area and will truly miss such a beautiful location. Mixture of Trail experience levels and plenty of scenic views. Take time to enjoy the rolling mountains and fresh air.

  Beautiful! Fantastic employees work very hard to keep it operating as though it all happens naturally (no pun intended)!! For those who take the time to enjoy it, be respectful of the serene beauty and nature. Please clean up after yourselves!!! :)

  Really love Bear mountain. I've taken the train from NYC to tuxedo on many weekend backpacking trips. Lots of lakes and a few places with great views. I finally got to visit the resort with my toddler. There's so much to do. my wife loves the pool(I didn't go so don't know the price, but not expensive.), the zoo is free and while it's not huge, it's open year round. The paddle boats were a lot of fun and are very easy to navigate even if you're by yourself. (My son couldn't reach the peddles.) It's a $20 deposit and $10 per person, even for toddlers, which I thought was a stretch, but he loved it so much I won't deduct a star. But that's not all! He absolutely loves the carousel($2 per ride.) We bought the $80 parking pass and it was well worth it.
