Before we set the appointment, she had an *extensive* (in a good way) phone consultation with me to learn more about the situation determine whether we would be helped by therapy. She even spoke to other members of my family via phone (before an appointment was even set) to get a deeper perspective. My family dynamics changed, markedly, for the better following our very first visit to her. The setting was very comfortable, and she wasn't afraid to express what we needed to hear to improve and heal. She really listened and the level of emotional investment and caring was unparalleled in my many years of seeing multiple (personal) therapists. Our first visit went **well** over the originally allotted period of time but she wouldn't accept more payment--but make no mistake, we were willing and, in fact, wanted to. This was the ultimate testament to how much she cared; she was willing to guide us *well* into the evening and that took priority over any compensatory or time-limit concerns.
