“I stumbled upon Dove cottage while exploring the area while on vacation. The owner, Eileen, was so friendly and helpful. The Big Red Barn was packed with exciting finds, collectables and antiques. As an extra bonus for me I learned that Eileen is an Annie Sloan stockist! This is top-of-the-line chalk paint that can be purchased locally. Huge bonus for us painters. ;-). Eileen also has painting classes. Her work is extraordinary. Although this is more than an hour from my home I will definitely be coming back. I purchased Annie Sloan paints, Prima transfers, and a paint brush. No shipping! No waiting! Yippee! Love this place ❤️.”

“We had a blast. We drove up from NYC for a wedding. Snuck in 18 the day before, and 36 the day of the wedding. My greatest regret was not running it back for another 36 the day after the wedding… my hydration was low. Not tough. Fun. Relaxed vibe. Cool mix between the two 18’s (you need to play both!!!). “The Wind Rush Cottage is open year-round and I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in Chautauqua. The décor is charming, the rooms are comfortable and clean (looks like they've been remodeled very recently), and the shared sitting/dining room is perfect for getting to know and enjoy the company of the other guests. The owner, Betty, is very sweet. My room, on the second floor with a queen bed, was very spacious and included a Jacuzzi tub and direct access to a screened-in porch which opened to another porch overlooking Simpson Avenue. The location can't be beat. There's also a shared kitchen, A/C, and laundry. What a great find. This is the kind of place where you don't want to leave, but you can't wait to get home to write a great review. Thanks Betty! Five stars plus is definitely very well deserved!!”

“Killa Kookies always does a great job! We got our wedding cake, cupcake and cookies from there a couple of years ago and they were fantastic! They were experimenting with different cinnamon rolls a while ago and the cookies and cream frosted one was delicious. The peanut butter pie is fantastic. As well as all their cupcakes! My husband loves the cookies too!”
