The Lily Pond

We have known and worked with The Lilly Pond for a few years now and are always impressed with the way that they can blend their love and compassion for animals and people alike with professionalism. Truly a special place!!

From the moment I entered onto the grounds of The Lily Pond Sanctuary, I felt that it was a very special place and after speaking with Susan and given a tour of the cattery, aviary, barn, and outdoor play yard for the dogs I just knew it was the perfect forever home for Ms. Charlotte. Charlotte was a very shy and skittish kitty who was in constant fear of humans. She needed an immediate and forever home where she could thrive and just be a curious cat. Susan took her in with open arms. One year later Susan agreed to take Tuffy, a special needs feral guy who, against all odds, survived living outdoors with a severe case of stomatitis. Tuffy had undergone surgery to remove all of his teeth and the ONLY place I could imagine him living the rest of his years is at the Lily Pond Sanctuary. I love getting photos and updates on their lives and both cats are doing wonderful in their care. I am forever grateful to Susan and the entire team at the Lily Pond Sanctuary for their compassion and immeasurable dedication to Charlotte, Tuffy and all animals in their care. Thank you Susan -- you are an angel on earth!

I have worked with Susan in many various aspects. From her taking in cats to using Sienna Sky when the animals I am working with have passed. Susan surpasses anyone I have ever worked with in the past professionally and as a friend you can always talk to her she can relate.
The Lily Pond sanctuary is a place where animals can find a new life and live comfortably with medical care high-end food and an abundance of love
The horses the dogs the cats are kept immaculately clean and everybody’s checked daily to make sure everyone is OK .That is what living in sanctuary is all about.

I highly recommend this place bc when I came down with cancer, Susan at The Lily Pond was the ONLY place who offered to take in my w babies. A clean, homey place nicely located upstate in a country setting, it is a haven for my w babies. She kept them together and kept their names, provided them a special needs place as they are Sr cats. Susan was a delight to meet and she accommodated me ASAP. A SHORT trip from my apt, just a little over an hour and easy to get to. My other friend surrendered 2 cats there too and they are doing well. I am following The Lily Pond on FB and IG and I will be visiting my babies soon when I am well and I will be attending Earth Day on June 4th there as well. 5 stars and thumbs up!!!!

The level of care given to the animals that call the Lily Pond sanctuary their home is top notch it's an amazing place with beautiful scenery where you can get 8n touch with nature and connect with the animal's. The staff is very friendly and you can see how much they love the animals in their care
