An absolute gem to visit. So beautiful in October, very atmospheric and easy to imagine the buildings being used decades or centuries ago. Docent was very knowledgeable and friendly. Self paced, which is my favorite. Gorgeous little walking trail and cemetery which aren't to be missed.
Beautiful quilt exhibit. Easy to wander and peruse the pieces.
Went here for a Civil War Reenactment. Lovely historic house to tour and a museum on the grounds.
I came here to visit during their Civil War reenactment. I am a civil war re-enacting myself and although I was not participating I decided to drop by. This was an amazing event to go to there were so many things to see so many amazing people to talk to wonderful displays that were different from anything I've seen before. Everyone was so willing to talk to us and share their knowledge with us the museum itself was wonderful and well laid out with very interesting exhibits. I thoroughly enjoyed myself here. I cannot wait for next year I definitely plan on coming back again and bring more of my family. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon thank you so much for putting on this wonderful event.
Very interesting set of building highlighting life "back-in-the-days" (80+ years ago). Easy to spend an enjoyable 1-hour (MOL) here.
