I was just in this establishment, and in quite a rush for compression socks, as I was scheduled for a procedure an hour from my visit there. I was led to believe that the list of places to get these socks (given to me from my MD), would accept my insurance. The woman,
( I assume the owner),greeted me very promptly. I explained my situation, she asked about my insurance and told me they would not cover the cost. ( btw thigh high compression socks $130.00, knee high $40.00; that seems about right????).
As I thanked her, and was going to leave, she gave me some suggestions to try to cut my cost. She did not have to do that. She could have waited for me to return with my credit card. Her suggestion ( which I won’t reveal, as I do not want to take away from her business ), I’ll just say saved me $130.00. I tried to call to thank her, however, that phone number is not in service. I even tried 411. I did notice a sign on the door that the number had changed. It is not correct on the website either. I don’t know what insurance covers what, I don’t have the best, but if you need medical gear or what not, GO THERE!
Not only did she help me solve a big problem, the most important part to me is that she was KIND. Unfortunately, in today’s society; genuine, empathetic, and truly kind people are few and far between.
Once the phone number is updated I will be giving her a call. I hope she reads this! Thank you so much for your help! Shine on!
