Big Tree Pediatrics

After our daughter received vaccinations at the previous pediatrician, shortly after she developed absence seizures. We couldn’t give her any more vaccines due to her seizures and that means she could not continue going to school. We tried to get a note from her previous pediatrician and neurologist so she could continue going to school but nobody was willing to help us. We are so great full that we found Dr. Mulawka and he was able to help us.
Our daughter went back to school the next day.
Truly a Dr. who cares about his patients.

This may be long winded so I apologize in advance but there's a lot to mention.

My son was born last week and after we took him home, my wife became concerned with an issue. She called at 3am Christmas morning just hoping to leave a message to have somebody call us back. Dr. Mulawka answered the phone himself right then. He gave us advice that worked immediately and then took time out of his Christmas day to call us to check in our baby.

We had our first appointment in office today. We switched our daughter over to Dr. Mulawka as well and he wanted to check on both kids. Our appointment was scheduled for 1:30pm but he called and had us come in first thing in the morning so we could limit the contact our newborn had with potentially sick children.

He explained to us that he is the doctor and parents should be the ones with final say in their children's medical decisions. He will not force vaccines, he will help you come up with a vaccine schedule you are comfortable with, and he will explain why he recommends the process he does. I've never felt so comfortable with a doctor in my life, including any of my own.

After a couple of phone calls and one appointment I already recommend Dr. Mulawka to any parent out there, but especially to those who feel pressured at their current practice. Granted I hope we have to see Dr. Mulawka as little as possible, but I couldn't feel more comfortable knowing he will be there for my kids.

dr. Mulawka did our son’s circumcision and it was such a pleasant experience given the nature of the procedure. He allowed my husband I to be present in order to comfort our baby, addressed questions we had before and after the procedure and even waited until the 8th day in order for us to conduct a Bris. dr. Mulawka is going to be our child’s provider for his entire childhood and it just made sense for us to have him do it vs the OBGYN at the hospital who will never see us again. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. M!!

Dr. Wheeler and all of the staff are absolutely top notch in every way possible from their mission to the excellent patient care they consistently provide. I am in healthcare and I have an “inside” perspective when it comes to grading healthcare providers. I unequivocally recommend Big Tree and give them 5 gold stars.

I need to begin this review by saying that Dr. Mulawka is the Pediatrician that I never thought that my family would find--- truly. But my heart is overjoyed that we did!

Today I brought my children to their first appointment and had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Mulawka. As soon as he entered the room, he brought a sense of ease and comfort. He exudes professionalism and has a heart for helping families which is extremely evident.
Dr. Mulawka took the time to get to know my family and explained his practice in detail. I felt heard and supported in ways that I never have since becoming a parent.
After leaving his office, I eagerly called my husband to relay my excitement about our experience. As emotions flooded by heart, I shed tears of relief and joy as I recounted the details of how Dr. Mulawka took the time to get to know our children and truly listened to our wishes and concerns. I feel like we made the best decision for our family by switching to Big Tree Pediatrics.

If you are looking for a practice where your provider comes alongside you and truly takes the time to listen (with genuine care and concern), this is the place! I only wish that I would have started my children at this practice from birth.
