Akron Falls Park

Beautiful place for a short visit! Very different scenery of the fall stream by the rocks and boulders! Loved it!

My family likes to walk our dogs here, especially along the paths in the lower part of the park. There's also a clear, wide trail that leads to a waterfall. The park has some amenities, like picnic shelters, playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and bathrooms.

Nice park I wouldn’t call it much of a hike though It was a pretty easy walk. We had a hard time finding where to go though to get to the trail. they should definitely put up more signs waterfall was pretty wish you could get up a little closer to it.

Amazing park for a short winter waterfall walk/hike. I am glad I had my YakTrax on to avoid slipping on the trail (was a bit icy when I went). There’s a trail to view the falls from above and below. There is a sign warning people not to go too close to the falls. The water is very peaceful as it flows downstream and there were some cool mossy rocky spots. There were no open bathrooms at the top of the trail.

Akron Falls Park is a 284 acre dog-friendly, tree-filled park with a waterfall that has walking trails, pavilions, picnic area and playgrounds. The waterfalls were initially hard to find as there aren’t signs pointing to the location. I read on one review that it was by pavilion #9 and it was not. The pathway to the falls is not too difficult, but not wheelchair or pram accessible. We met three local men who were extremely nice and helpful. One was walking a beautiful dog and insisted upon me giving her a treat. The falls were only at a trickle, but were still nice to see. At Akron Falls Park, there is something to do here for everyone.
