Chaffee Rt. 16 Auto Repair

So, bit on a long story but here goes. Live about 5 miles from the shop. Right after they had just opened my car battery was dead and I needed a jump. I called and they came over and got me started right up. To my horror I only had $8 cash on me. No problem they said. About a year goes by and now I have a vintage RV. It died in a busy intersection. Had it towed over to their shop figuring I owed them some business after their good deed to me. They had my RV up and running in 3 days. Took 2 days for the ordered part to come in. Not bad at all for a 1978 van. They sorted out the issue, inspected the vehicle for me, and I was on the road for a very reasonable sum. Two weeks later I’m back to the shop after a deer hit me coming home from a trip. The guys give it a look over and agree with my hopeful wish that the damage is all cosmetic. They tell me what to keep an eye on just in case and off I go at no charge. I tipped them for their time. Glad to have a new shop close to home that does good work at fair prices.

People and owner very friendly..they take the time to speak with you and explain things to you...I would recommend them to fix your car ...

I've been dealing with this shop since the new owner took over, JC. This shop is the only one I'll use. They've always given me good prices, they're honest, they give price ranges on how much something will cost and they pretty much always stay in those ranges. I've had them work on probably 10 or so cars of mine over the years. The worst that's happened is a delay in when I get my car back. One time I took my car here to get a new rotor installed, I got the car back and the air conditioning was working (it hadn't for a few years). I called and asked why the ac was now working, and he said he noticed it didn't work and it only took him a few minutes to fix it. He didn't even charge me for it!

The owner will never rip you off or gouge you. He's kind, friendly, warming to his customers, and always welcoming. I've read some of these other reviews that are so negative.. The only thing I can think of is maybe they are referring to the old owner, Tom, maybe they just had a bad day, or maybe they're just lying.

Also, if you haven't been here since the new owner took over, they've turned it into a pretty nice place with a cozy waiting room.

I really had a good experience at this shop today.
James was great. He and his technicians took care of my car's alternator problem as fast as they could and the price was reasonable. They were recommended by friends who live in this area and we're glad that they did.
So we recommend them as well!
