(August 30, 2021, 8:55 am)We spent 3 nights at Caroga Lake. They have a great staff who really care about the well kept campground. One shower house; very clean. All toilet houses are very clean. Sites are of varying sizes, but mostly small (a tent or two and an EZ-Up over the table. Fire pits are cleaned out after each reservation leaves. the surface is gravel. The beach is small.
Drawbacks: Water spigots are hard to find in the woods. Only one shower house, so if you're far away from it, it's an uphill hike. The general store across from camp is really a sandwich/pizza shop. The wood we bought there was wet and wouldn't burn properly (not a ding against the campground, but just sayin'). There is zero cell service at this campground. Whether that's a plus or minus is up to you.
