RamsHorn-Livingston Audubon Sanctuary

Very nice sanctuary with an easy walk through the woods. It was lightly raining when we went so there was no one else around. The birds also decided to stay at home as we only saw a couple chickadees, a sparrow, and crows. We did see a pretty large hawk hanging out in a tree too. Would much rather go during a nice sunny spring day but we still had a peaceful, relaxing visit!

Two of my sisters and I walked through the park and just loved it. We saw so many varieties of plants and flowers. We had started with the easy path, but because of all the rain in previous days, we were unable to continue on. So, we took another path up into the wooded area. We came upon several patches of honeysuckles and jack-in-the-pulpits. The violets were in abundance throughout our walk. As we were making our way along the path, a friendly owl led the way to show us the way out.

Great place for a walk in nature. Has an overlook which is sturdy and has multiple stairs. But each small set of stairs has a landing with bench so you can go on any level or to the top.
Lots of flowers, birds and butterflies. I wasn't able to walk all the trails but where I did walk it was easy and all I had on were sneakers. Will be returning with my camera and more time to spend there.

A little bit of a walk, but the bird watch structure has a nice view and the lake is great. There’s also some good light trails on the hill.

I had been hiking here before but never reviewed it. If you want to walk the biggest loop(2 miles,) follow the red trail in, pick up the blue, pick up the white, then rejoin with the red again. You can also do shorter loops with only the red or blue. The red trail heading into the other trails is essentially a little “farm road.” There are benches, it’s flat, it’s also unfortunately mostly in the hot sun. Then you get to the forest and sweet sweet shade. There are also pretty amazing views of marshland. There is a place to launch kayaks. There are wooden bridges and wooden seating. I saw a snake and a big turtle. The trails are well maintained and well marked with flares. Other than it being hot and buggy on the first stretch, this was a pleasure. Make sure and climb the observation tower!
