Jamaican me happy! Came all the way from Cali to NYC on family trip. I googled this place and was excited to try them. Location was great it’s right on the corner of a main st. Parking was easy but hey it’s NYC so double park if you feel like it. This picture was just my food which was the oxtails DELICIOUS and SO TENDER! It was cooked to perfection and had so much seasoning and the gravy was yum yum. The plantains were sweet and good as well. I also got a side of yellow cake with my food which reminded me of cornbread but smoother and sweeter. My family order the curry goat which they said was the best they ever had. They also ordered some stew which they double backed for. The prices are very reasonable! Oh bring cash because that’s all they take but if not there is an ATM inside. Customer service could have been a little better but it didn’t stop me from giving them 5stars
Fresh hot food. Salt fish was boiled completely out so it lost the salt. Just a little salt and its great. Porridge was good wish it had cinnamon in it though.
Food is amazing..bought the stew peas.. the taste was nostalgic, took me right back to Jamaica. The chef needs to give cooking lessons. The curry goat is amazing too..
I just happened to be in this corner of Brooklyn for a customer meeting and had a hankering for some Caribbean food. This place exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent! Curry goat was flavorful and spicy, rice and peas perfect, plantains amazing and the pickled cabbage wonderful. Excellent price point for no frills take-out. Staff was warm and friendly with the Caribbean hospitality I would expect. This is definitely a new favorite when I pass through the neighborhood.
