“Considering what some other reviews have implyed on you can be disturbing, but it isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is. It is a screened school so when you walk in, everybody is scanned--whether you are a student or an adult. The "fights" everyone says occurring everyday is being exaggerated dramatically, and something like this only happens once or twice every couple weeks. Majority of the students are friendly and nice, but the other fraction of bullies can be avoided if you don't provoke or make eye contact with them. The thing that makes this school popular is their Robotics Team (#333), for defeating many other schools across the United States, including specialized high schools such as Styvansant. The reason why it was rated 4 stars is how the staff and teachers are committed to their job. Some are careless and don't give a damn if you pass regents or not, but some are really good and willing to help out. If you want a friendly place that is diverse and smart, this school may be for you (this is based on my personal experience).”
