“The pirate ship themed playground is very cool and feels safe because it is protected by a large sunshade, a building on one side, a fence with a "moat" on the back, and a fence on the front with a gate. The building near the playground has easily accessed restrooms and a front desk staff member. Great place to let your toddler play.”

“Great weather yesterday and we brought the dogs to the park. Lots of friendly people .. and dogs... to interact with. The year round farm venders were on hand. I picked upsome really fresh kale, potatoes, spinach, carrots... blue ones too. Carlos was there selling his families Columbian coffee, nice organic cinnamon buns, two different cheeses, and a bottle of bourbon from upstate. All set for the end of winter chill.....”

“This is a pretty awesome park. It's not super large but it has it all. The children's playground is brand new. It has a rope climbing area and two sets of jungle gyms with slides, hanging bars for different ages. It has swing area for toddlers and young children. There is a water area to get wet. They have hands on activities like spinning wheels and even a board that teaches braille and american sign language. There is a small track area and a handball court. There are areas to have picnics or small parties ans benches to sit on to watch your kids. The bathrooms are clean. Water fountains. Very colorful and updated park. Parking is good. Relatively safe neighbor but watch kids either way.”

“I have owned a brownstone for 39 years. For the first 35 or so, I (happily) did all my own gardening, then got some help from a gardener friend. I've used Florence's Gardens for a few years now. Every year I'm more blown away than the previous year by the glorious garden they have fashioned for me. They are great to work with -- responsive, knowledgeable, tasteful, prompt and precise about everything they do. Whatever I suggest, they do with great aplomb. For example, a few years ago they planted a crepe myrtle in the corner. Now I have a beautiful tree with 100 blooms that span August and September to enjoy. The garden they fashioned for me brings me great joy.”

“Influenced by Jacobs' theories, vest-pocket parks were small green spaces meant to be located in the middle of neighborhoods, a departure from the larger parks and ball fields Moses tended to favor. To Jacobs, parks would only be popular if they were small enough, far enough from other parks, and placed in accessible enough locations to feel full and thriving.”

“Excellent renovation of the playground. Very clean and well laid out it would be great if they could do something with the bandstand as now it is mainly just a place for kids or homeless to hang out. Shame that the concerts they used to hold in the park were forced to stop. That was a great time for the community but the Synagogue across the street has more rights than the rest of the neighborhood. Shame”
