Long Island Whale and Seal Watching

This was a good tour and while they couldn't guarantee a whale sighting we actually were in luck and saw one. The boat skipper did allow us a lot of time for everyone to be able to sight it and also changed positions to enhance our viewing opportunities.

All in all a satisfactory experience.

This was my first whale watching trip and I was thrilled when the humpback whale appeared in all its majesty. There was a nice crowd on board. Everyone was friendly and eager to share excitement when there were sitings.

We had a great time on the trip. It took a while to see a whale, but it was worth the wait because we ended up seeing two Humpbacks and some dolphins. The captain was super cool, he extended the trip by about half an hour just so we could watch the second whale. My only complaint is that they point the boat so that the whale is in front at all times, which made it difficult to see the whale from the top deck of the boat.

I was looking to do something fun with my sister who was visiting for the week.. My husband went for a run and came back and told me about the trip. It was a great experience….the crew was friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time. The captain spent a lot of time to ensure that everyone saw the whales. I only wished that they would have pointed out some of the areas we passed as not all of us are long islanders. Definitely taking the trip again.

I decided to go Seal Watching for my anniversary and it was just as I'd hoped it'd be. Admittedly it was cold but somehow the wind died down the second we made it to seeing the seals. The crew was knowledgeable and their tips on bringing binoculars and dressing warm was well-advised. I had an absolutely fantastic time.
Also the boat has a bathroom, if you're like me and like knowing those things (we were on the Atlantic Pearl).
