My own experience with martial arts and Sefu Jackowics is nothing but positive. Honestly, I am someone with a physical disability and one year later, I am competing in leagues for trophies. Actually, it was more like four months into martial arts, I was competing. It is an awesome feeling especially when you have never had real confidence within anything that you have done before. Sefu does his very best to build up your confidence and over all morality. He is more than just punches and kicks, he is a teacher, mentor, and respected by everyone who knows him. I am extremely honoured to even know, let alone study under Sefu Jackowicz. Plus, he is a hell of a guy, filled with funny stories of China meant to lift anyone up and finally he is a great person and very approachable!

I joined the Tai Chi and Chi Kung Class in January of 2023, at that time I had undergone 3 Surgeries for Cancer and Related issues. I know at the time I felt and looked weak but I heard good things about Sensei Steve. I began to practice everything he taught us while I was home and continued to attend class. This past week, the Doctor that performed the Surgeries said my blood work came back fine and that I looked Great. He asked me what I was doing, when I told him, he said whatever you're doing keep on doing it. I credit Sensei Steve with much of my recovery. He's a great Teacher and accomplished Martial Artist. I recommend him and his classes for anyone looking to improve their health.

I am so thankful that I found this place. I have two girls who enjoy coming and practicing martial arts. The environment that Steve Jackowicz has created enables learning, discipline and self-esteem to flourish. I was so impressed that I joined myself lol. Must try!!

My name is Jonathan Bluestein, and I am the head of a martial arts organization, the author of 10 books, and a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shifu Steve has been my teacher for many years now. He is one of the kindest, smartest, most educated and skilled people I have ever known. After many decades spent running successful private Chinese Medicine clinics and working as a Professor at the University of Bridgeport, Shifu Steve is finally back working full-time at the thing he loves most: martial arts. Anyone would be hard-pressed to find such an accomplished individual ready and willing to teach the general public, making himself accessible to everyone, including children, the mentally-handicapped and the disabled. The zeal and enthusiasm he brings to classes is exhilarating. I also admire that way in which he can cater for all level, from complete beginners to very experienced teachers. Take my word on it - checking this man out would be a very wise investment of your time.

I've been training under Sensei/Shifu Steve since I was 8. He is a great teacher, and very knowledgeable with the skills and toughness to prove it. One of the few teachers around who teaches the entire Judo curriculum, including leg grabs and groundwork. Recently began learning karate and internal/external forms of kung-fu with him as well. Highly recommend for anyone interested in the martial arts, child or adult, hobbyist or athlete.
