“The perfect combination of class and quality. First of all, unmatched service and manners from the staff. I felt like I had been coming here for years even though I’m not even from Long Island. The food is to die for. It’s so delicious and there’s so much of it. Don’t be fooled, this isn’t a silly, NYC overpriced “fine” Italian restaurant. This was made for everyone. The prices are perfectly matched for the portion size. You think it’s too much? You’ll be taking some food home for a few days. Don’t you worry. It’s worth every penny. The Chinese Chicken is top notch. I had to put that out there before I note anything else. We started with La Parma salads which were a nice, light opener. Then we got the Brussels sprouts, calamari, Chinese chicken, salmon, and a pasta with broccoli. I won’t even try to explain it. It was all so good. Go for yourself and understand why this is such an incredible institution.”

“Finally got here after driving past for months. I ordered the lunch chicken quesadilla with soup and two crispy chicken tacos. The quesadilla was stuffed to the limit with chicken and cheese. Wonderful taste and juicy chicken. The soup was a mildly spicy corn chowder, I believe. Lots of flavor there with just the right amount of spice. The tacos were the best. Crispy chicken on a warm and soft tortilla with a tangy sauce. If the value menu tacos were that good, I can't just immagine how good the regular tacos are. . . I'll have to come back and actually find out.”

“I have been coming here since childhood and still really enjoy it from time to time. The "snacks" are a great value such as dark meat chicken snack or rib snack which come with a choice of fries or mashed potatoes and a can of soda. I think this might be a lunch only promotion I am not sure so please check on that first. I like their regular fries but have to heat them in oven or toaster to crisp them up again at home as they do get soggy in the take out container. Their regular fries are pretty basic so maybe I will try their seasoned version one of these days. Chicken is crispy and juicy. Ribs are great too. Service the last time I was there was friendly, fast, and correct.”

“If you are in the Hicksville area this is a must stop for a great old school slice with a flair. Located in a unassuming shopping strip mall, this Pizzeria has it all. Once you walk through the doors you will see why this is a LI local Favorite. You will Start humming your favorite Billy Joel song because after all this was his favorite spot as a kid. On to the pizza…number one it’s always fresh you will never find pies laying around like other spots because the traffic is heavy and the turnover is fast. I had a Buffalo slice and as I said it had a twist…Sesame Seeds on the crust what a great surprise. It reminded me of so many great spots from my childhood in Brooklyn. I finished up with a “Sal’s Sensational Italian Ice” incredible, I have not had an ice so good since Court Pastry Shop on Court Street in Brooklyn that has been doing it for 75 years…Sal and team have outdone themselves with Ices. This should be a destination spot for ices. Ralphs is like eating a cheeseburger compared to a steak you will get with Sal. Don’t hesitate call, drive, ride your bike or run…but whatever you do don’t miss out on a Sal’s Sensational Ice this summer.”

I gotta say what a great looking Grandma slice, excellent presentation. One of the best Grandma slices I've had in a while. Fresh tomato chunk slices with an absolutely delicious sauce followed by fresh basil. Soft chewy mozzarella, I should've ordered 2.( I asked about their Drunken grandma slice which they were ok with making upon request, that's for next visit) Incredible dough with a unique crust nice and crunchy. Regular slice very thin , same delicious sauce with a cheese that just staples authentic pizza the way its suppose to be done. It's Evident these guys have been making pizza for years No doubt about it and that they love doing what they do. Goes hand in hand with their great environment. This is a high recommendation if you're in the area.”

I went through an order with all kinds of changes to menu items because my kids are picky and I'm trying to cut down on sodium. He gave me some cool suggestions and it worked out. Keep in mind some of these dishes were modified a bit (some ingredients were left out or replaced with other ones). But here's what we got tonight and it was good. Orange Beef Gyoza dumplings Chow Mei fun Hot and sour soup *homemade iced tea - tastes real good, loaded with sugar Tip: put some of the Mei fun noodles in the hot and sour soup, tasty.”
