The Most authentic Dominican Food in the Area. The Chivo is really really good with there Moro Negro is a match made in heaven. There Chicken is ehhh kinda dry but hey overall I give them 5 stars. Because they have the best white rice and beans then any Dominican Resturant I’ve had in Manhattan and The Bronx Hands Down The Best the taste is just like from the Island.

Service was great and quick. The environment was nice and clean.

The arroz con pollo and beans was delicious. The only minor con for the price its little overpriced considering the portion size.

The sweer plantains were good and not overly greasy.

I was staying in Hamilton Heights for a month while working a contract gig. I had just come back from being in the DR for two weeks prior to that and was craving some Dominican food when I found this place. I ate here 4-5 times in the month I stayed and always left full and with a warm feeling. The food is delicious and you can tell someone’s Mom and Pop are back there putting love into the food. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the daily specials and bebidas. Come alittle later in the evening when the place is alive with people from the community enjoying a meal to really get that island vibe. The food here is home style even if your home is nowhere near that beautiful island. Beef stew translates well to all cultures. This place is like if you had a Dominican friend invite you over for a home cooked meal at their house. I will be back when I’m in town again.

Another review said you won’t get treated well if you don’t speak Spanish here and I have to disagree. I have very little Spanish in my vocabulary and was treated very well, sure I was pretty much the only white dude in there when I ate but that’s how this neighborhood is. If you treat the staff well and are patient with them they will do the same for you.
