Metrokids Preschool - Battery Park City School

I can’t explain how great this place was for us. As first time parents we were a mess leaving our daughter with someone else at first, but Ms Mia always gave us an update and demonstrated real care for our child. Had we not moved, our girl would have been here for a long time. Can’t thank this place enough

Our eldest son started here when the school opened in 2014 he is now at PS IS 276 and we felt that they prepared him very well for kindergarten and school overall. I currently have my daughters (4yr ,20m) here also.

The teachers have always been very caring and attentive. The programs and activities the school runs are excellent. Many options exist in BPC, FIDI and Tribeca for Day Care.

For two working parents we like that the school has significantly less closed days than some of the competitors. This saves considerable amount on additional day care costs and logistics . We like that food is provided during the day. Most importantly our children are happy and thrive.

My son has been attending this school for 4 years. He has always been in a safe and caring environment built on great learning experiences and a professional and nurturing team. I chose this school because of the director, Michele’s focus on safety and hands in involvement with every detail of the school. The intensity with which she has around children growing and learning and her passion for putting the children first. I could not recommend the school, the staff or the experience more!

My daughter has been attending POA since September 2017 (starting the Pre-K year). I chose this school because aside from the location they are a dual language program and teach the kids in English and Mandarin. The classrooms are also fairly diverse which is a plus as well. I have no complaints here so far, the staff/teachers are wonderful and very accommodating. They are great at keeping up daily/weekly communication with the parents as far as what is going on in the school (what you can reinforce at home etc.) Head management Ms. Michele DeMizio is very helpful and readily available with any concerns that you may have. She too, will send out weekly updates with what's happening in the school (academics, safety, reminders of events etc.) As other reviews have said the school is in a great location right by the waterfront so the view is amazing.

We’ve had two children over six years at two different Preschool of America locations with Ms. Michelle, and have had a great experience. She runs the daycare professionally and with passion, and the kids have had great experiences. Both got a terrific boost in their Mandarin from the bilingual teachers, and the experience has been warm and nurturing. This location is gorgeous as well. We would thoroughly recommend.
