If your visiting NYC then you want to visit here. Awesome place to people watch, go for a walk, hangout with friends even bring your significant other also even your dog. You won't be disappointed at all. If you got the time definitely get on tramway something to experience and see NYC up there.

This place is such an underrated must-see spot when visiting NYC! 🗽 A perfect place for a half-day tour or a weekend picnic. Fast-paced walkers will be able to explore the whole island in just a few hours and a free shuttle bus 🚌 which goes all around the island is available (look for signs for the RIOC Red Bus stops). Easy to get to via tramway 🚡, subway 🚇, or ferry ⛴️. wish more people would visit Roosevelt Island! 🏝

Very small visitor center right next to Tramway exit. I wish they keep something for people to munch while walking around the park especially for kids.

Friendly lady who helps with anything you need to know about the Island: where to go, what to see, etc. There's also tons of merchandise. I think it's also open on weekday's but I'm not sure why it says weekends only here.
