Really great food in the basement of Essex Market. They're one of my favorite spots on the Lower East Side - and have the kindest employees.

Wow. Delicious. Seriously, underrated. Best Mexican food anywhere around here. You have to try the birria tacos and/or ramen. We’ve been to other birria places around here and all that was straight up mediocre. Looking at the other reviews here, people are just silly. The prices are as they should for the location and the food is legit delicious! The employees are also super kind. This is located inside Essex market which has tons of seating and an awesome atmosphere to escape the noise of the city.

Ordered the bean tacos. They were yummy but I felt it was missing something. That could have just been because there was only beans, cheese, onions, and avocado.

I had 2 tacos carnitas and an agua de horchata. The tacos were delicious although pricey but the horchata was not home made, tastes like the premade bag horchata powder that you just add to water .
