IMAGINE YOU WALK INTO THE OLDEST MAGIC SHOP IN NEW YORK… the person behind the counter proceeds to sit you down and starts performing magic for you, right there! This is the premise for magic after hours, and it’s really cool, really intimate, think we had 15 people max in our show, and super engaging for the 1 hour performance AMBIANCE- you’re sitting around some great props, there is literally an elephant in the room (prop not real), Houdinis bath tub… almost a speakeasy for magic on the 6th floor of this wondrous store. MAGICIAN - Noah Levine is incredibly charming of course, funny too, but it’s the intimacy and setting of this that made this special as well having a great magician to enthrall SUMMARY - it’s a step away from all the razzmatazz of Broadway, but that’s it’s charm. A step back from the craziness of Manhattan and 60 minutes of wonderful magic will transport you until head back into the midtown madness after the show. We were all left wanting more too! Thx Noah
Difficult to find? yes. Worth it? Absolutely! Last Magic shop in the big apple but the customer service is still one on one. Make that trip.
Fantastic magic shop in NYC. Ordered magic from them 45;years ago., had to come see it in person. A nice experience for any seasoned magician or anyone interested in prestidigitation!
Harry Houdini's bathtub is there too.
Great staff is entertaining and accommodating.
A great shop for magicians of all ages and aptitudes. My daughter is 9 and likes magic. The young man working was patient as he kept showing her different tricks that matched her skill level so she could decide which trick to purchase.
They also have a bathtub that belonged to Houdini.
Check out their Magic After Hours events if you get a chance - I know I will be in the future.
I went to an after hours magic show here and it was INCREDIBLE!! Not only was the magic impressive, but it was a great atmosphere. A small place tucked away in the corner of a building, but it has a life of its own. The Magician was awesome and all of the staff were kind and helpful. It really was worth the money and was a great experience that I definetly can't get at home. A great addition to my NYC trip!!!
