“The food was delicious and plentiful. Our waitress and hostess checked on us frequently. We were offered indoor and outdoor seating. Having chosen the indoor we found it to be quiet even though the restaurant was full. We chose the Saturday night special of prime rib. Cooked perfectly, the seasoning was perfect as well as the crust on top. We both had the french onion soup and agreed it was also delicious having had many bad versions of this in the past we savored it, even scraping the crusty cheese off the rim. They gave me a double serving of vegetables since I was not interested in a baked potato. My husband and I had been staying in Niagara Falls and found this gem because all the restaurants of this caliber were totally booked. We had visited Lockport to do the Erie Canal tour and since it was only a 20 mile ride checked out Trip Advisor to see what restaurant might be offering the menu we were looking for since we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We plan a return trip to Niagara Falls and I anticipate a return visit to Shamus.”

“I recently had a case of Plantar Fasciitis on my right foot. I was in a great deal of pain with every step I took. In addition, the limping that I was forced to do was throwing my back out. I went to see Dr. Zirna because I knew that he offered Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis. There are very few podiatrists in WNY, that I'm aware of, that have access to this non-surgical treatment. Since I've had this condition before on my left foot, I knew that the quickest way to get relief was Shockwave Therapy. After three brief weekly visits to Dr. Zirna for Shockwave Therapy, I am pain-free and able to walk with no issues. Granted, not everyone may respond the way I did, but it is well worth pursing if you've tried all the other treatments associated with Plantar Fasciitis (injections, exercises, boots, etc.). Dr. Zirna is very caring and compassionate and extremely thorough. I feel very confident that you will have a pleasant experience, and get the results your looking for from Dr. Zirna. “This place was so polite and worked very fast. They even worked with my schedule (came in in their day off) highly recommend! UPDATE 7.5.22: I still stand by what I said. They are very polite and they don't send you running in circles. They go right to the problem and have no problem answering your questions! I just called them this morning and needed my exhaust fixed in time for me to still get to work. I went in and they immediately began to work on it and had me in and out! I highly recommend going here. UPDATE 9.23.22: My opinion has not changed. They were able to fit me in quickly and resolved my issue and have me back out on the road in time for work (with some time to spare!) They are very friendly and really good at what they do. They are also honest and not money hungry like most mechanics I have been to. Would definitely recommend going here!”

“RJ's was absolutely delicious. It is everything you want with an ice cream stand. They offer both hard ice cream (Perry's) and custard. I order a chocolate milkshake and it was great one of the best milkshakes in lockport. My one complaint would be I ordered mine extra thick but it still felt pretty thin. Also on a side note there is an attached indoor eating area which is nice.”

“We went here for the first time today, and we were very pleased. The chicken wing soup was amazing. I will go back for that alone. But our subs were delicious and fresh and filling. Although a bit pricey, its well worth it. The staff is kind patient and helped with our questions. The place is clean and comfortable. There are tons of yummy baked goods ready to take home and devour. We will be back often....and you should try it. You won't be disappointed. Update!! Please don't go on website for menu prices! I had a bill shock when we picked up our order. Three subs and a package of cookies for 50.00!!!! The prices have gone up alot and my anticipated bill was so much less! But when you look on the website and press order by phone the prices are so much lower. Between 3-4$ more than the website! Beware! And there is an older woman that is very rude to customers! I read some other reviews and have talked about the rudeness. We won't return, what a change from my last review!”

“The red headed pharmacist was on maternity leave from December to May apparently, I am so happy she is back, ask for her whenever you have a problem she always know what to do. And I love their text and automatic refills so convenient! I love that I can pay and sign for my husbands scripts before coming to the pharmacy using the text link it makes it so much faster in and out and I always know what’s ready and the cost - so nice!”

“I was admitted to Elderwood on October 11 for OT and PT after fracturing my right fibula and tibia and breaking my ankle. Two weeks later I am heading home to resume in patient therapy. ALL of the staff at Elderwood from custodians, nurse's aides, social workers, the business office, dieticians, nurses, doctor and OT and PT therapists were outstanding! Having to overcome an injury as I sustained is hard enough, but the absolute commitment, compassion, care and dedication of the staff, made me fight all the harder. Thank you to the staff of the North Wing. Your kindness and concern will always be remembered. To all of the OT and PT staff - thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself I could be, given the circumstances. The laughter, coffee and conversation made the therapy much more palatable :) I would definitely recommend Elderwood to anyone who requires after surgery, therapy!”

“You know it sounds to me as I read one negative 1 star review after another, they all seem to have the same theme running through them. It all sounds like a case of Paranoid Delusional Victimization. Which is of course a Hallmark of mental illness. So it's really difficult to try to separate the Delusions of Victimization from the Reality of what may or may not have happened. I mean some of the claims that are being made by people are so outrageous, that they're to the extent of impossibility. At any Clinic. That's what leads me to believe that this Delusion of Victimization is what's driving all of this stuff. But of course none of you will agree because you're all caught up directly in the middle of it. Strange 🕶”

“LAC is a warm and genuine congregation of believers who love Jesus and preach the gospel on Sunday mornings as well as in their daily lives. I grew up in Lockport Alliance and return home on Holidays to visit family & attend church if home for a weekend. I have lived in many places and attended various churches, and of all churches I still hold the highest regard for LAC. The pastors are kind, compassionate and humble. Above all, everyone is a servant and demonstrates the true meaning of community. If you are broken and hurting within, if you are lost and searching, if you are hopeless, or if you just moved to the area- come to the altar at LAC. And you will find what you need. I also want to touch on the breadth and width of their ministry. My husband and I often are drawn to newer churches, however if we lived within 40 minutes Fromm LAC we would absolutely attend. We are not even in the state anymore. LAC is completely integrated into the community: involved in homeless ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, care-net pregnancy, youth ministry, men’s ministry and many others. For decades they have been serving Lockport, and their impact is great. LAC is a beautiful representation of God’s mission for the church: to serve the poor, the elderly, the widowed, the orphaned and any other marginalized group of people. If you’re looking to serve the community and be on mission with other genuine Christians, LAC is for you! As part of the alliance church denomination, they take seriously the Great Commison.
