Uncle G's Ice Cream

Lucky me! I was in the Buffalo-Niagara area in time for the Bills 73-3 blow-out AND the final weekend for Uncle G’s 2022 season. The BEST pumpkin custard around and it beats the heck out of any custard in the DC-metro area. Custard is rare there and, when you can find it, it just doesn’t stand up to Western NY custards. Uncle G’s is one of western NY’s finest!

Already mentioned the creamy flavorful pumpkin custard, which is great in waffle cone as the flavors harmonize well. You can also get it in ice cream sandwiches, which are a great way to squirrel away that yummy custard for post-closure enjoyment.

Unusually, Uncle G’s offers several good non-dairy options that don’t sacrifice the flavor of mouth-feel you get from a good frozen custard (see photos of menu)

This is hands down the best place for ice cream out this way. Their custard is outstanding. I especially look forward to the pumpkin custard that comes out in September! They have a lot of seating that is well maintained and clean, some covered and some not. There is even some indoor seating. The staff is super friendly. Cannot recommend them enough!

This is a great place to get ice cream of you are lactose intolerant, and if you're not, too! My wife and I shared a pumpkin pie sunday, and our friend got a oat milk ice cream sandwich. Reasonable prices and plenty of seating. Definitely planning to go back again!

We live walking distance away and that's dangerous cause the ice cream and milk shakes are so good. I have to convince myself not to go on a hot day after mowing the lawn. The cookies and cream milkshake is fantastic. And their menu is endless and they are very friendly

Super adorable little gem. You can get a bite to eat, besides just icecream and relax. They have indoor dining, very sizable patio and picnic tables. Afterwards you can take a walk or a bike ride along the canal.
