Lorraine did presentation and did numerous pieces. Just beautiful 😍 You are very talented and we enjoyed very much. We will be back!
Love Lorraine!! My husband and I bought a few of her products as gifts for our parents when we got married. Beautiful and durable. Highly recommend checking out the shop if you get the chance.
Had a very pleasant visit to this hand made glass shop. The owner explained how various pieces were made and fired up the furnaces to give us a demonstration by custom making a piece for one of us. Worth the side trip just outside of downtown Skaneateles New York.
Glass blowing is a work of art! Pretty pieces of art displayed. Small showroom. Love to have local artisans practicing this dying craft. Glass is a beautiful media to work with, whether stained glass or blown glass. Nice job. Keep up the good work.
My Wife and I took a little ride (about 2 1/2 hours) after a late breakfast today. I turned left on a road seldomly traveled by me. After a few miles, a sign on the side of the road caught my eye; at the first cross road, I turned around. The name of the studio is Snake Oil Glassworks, located near Skaneateles, NY.
We were both very surprised and impressed by this business. The front end of the building is the actual glass workshop. We were treated by being able to watch the final steps of a glass piece to be used in a chandelier. Very interesting to watch, in fact it was a much better view of the proceedings than what we have seen in many trips to Corning Glassworks.
Of course, I had to make a purchase, six napkin rings, which accidentally color matched a quilted table cover my Wife made.
I know we will be back there again.
Very friendly and informative.
