“My husband and I went hiking there with our 1 year old Doberman. The vistas are beautiful. If you have difficulty walking, there are very limited straight paths. Bring lots of water. Bug spray is a must or you will look like you have the measles by the time you're done!”

“Excellent park with separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Friendly environment. Would be 5 stars but the one gate has been broken all year and a water supply on site would be great.”

“I went up there in mid-January. The beginning of the trail was pretty icy therefore I was very cautious. If you are lucky you might be able to pick up a map for the surrounding mountains at the trailhead. The trail markers can be seen easily. I used the New York-New Jersey Trail conference's West Hudson Trails map. I took a walk on the Golden Ridge and then down to the Sutherland Pond. It was very nice. I enjoyed to hike on the trails a lot.”

“Great views at the top. Very steep initially so it was a good workout too. Path was pretty well marked but still would look at a guide beforehand. Spent about 2hours to complete but there are lots of areas to rest and take in the scenery”

“Excellent Mid-Atlantic Appalachian trails, with scenic ravines and hollows, and countless panoramic vistas from the top bare spine. Great for a long trail run or a hike, any season”

“Great short hike that's easily accessible and not at all aggressive. You'll have some great views up top and abundant Flora and Fauna along the way. Make sure to view the map at the beginning as you'll run into numbers intersections after you descend from the first summit. There is a map post afterwards, but it's always best to know where you're going ahead of time. Things to look out for: -Ticks, don't be a hero - use bug spray. Good bug spray - My daughter has Lyme disease, you don't want it. -Ice in the winter - grab a cheapo pair of crampons, yaktrax, or micro spikes from a local or online retailer. It'll make the ice grip like dry rock for about $20. Hike all winter without risking cracking your head open.”
