“Excellent food for an excellent price. The ribs were tender and tasty, and the south carolina style sandwich was delightfully but not overpoweringly sour. The house BBQ sauce was the perfect level of hot and sweet. Its a shame they don't sell bottles of it. I found the sides all rather fine. Nothing special, and the mac & cheese was particularly sad. Pretty sure it was frozen. There's a decent selection of beers, and the coffee was hot and fresh. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth stopping by if you're visiting Bear Mountain or West Point.”

“Attended an outdoor wedding in November and they gave us blankets. The venue was so beautiful and had a great time. Be prepared, there is no food available in the area at night esp if you go to a early wedding ( ours was from 1-9pm). Everything closes early but if you are staying over night you will enjoy the quietness. The common area is great to host a group and the fire place is really cozy. The reception was amazing and it was a overall amazing event. We love the park and have been there before for hiking. Will be back!”

“I highly recommend hiking the Popolopen Torne trail, popularly known as "Trail of the Fallen". You'll find the trail head at the information kiosk in Fort Montgomery directly across from the small parking space. For the average hiker, it will take you about 30 minutes to reach the summit. Make sure to wear grippy trail shoes or hiking boots. In the fall, hiking boots make a huge difference because the rocks and little crevices are hidden by all the leaves and makes navigating the floor of the forest a little more tricky. Toward the top, there is a steep section outfitted with ropes to help. During the colder months, it is partially covered in ice, so please be careful! Once at the top, you'll find some peaceful areas to rest and photograph, and the 360 degree views are insanely gorgeous!. Please respect the memorial site as many come to honor those who have served and who are still serving. Consider carrying a "memorial- rock" or momento to share and honor someone who has made the ultimate sacrifice. We've taken our lab hiking up here with no issues, and have seeing both young and old do this hike. Enjoy!”

“Strenuous but beautiful hike. It’s a 1000 ft ascent to Perkins memorial tower for breathtaking views of the valley. You may also spot Manhattan skyline from there. My favorite trail at Bear Mountain.”

“The room was so cozy, such a rustic feel to the cabins. There is a living room area for all the guests to sit and enjoy the fireplace with one log that is provided free of charge to each room.”
