“We had a very happy experience with Dr. Richard Salas of Northeast Oral surgery at the Carmel office. Our son is autistic and he gets hyper when he has to go to the doctors or dentist. We too as parents were deeply concerned. He had to have two good molars removed because they were growing in the wrong direction. Dr. Salas greeted us with our son in the chair. We explained the situation and he understood right away. He told us and my son what he would do and how he would make it painless. He went through the process and said if any problems arose at any time he would stop the procedure and continue at a later date at the hospital with my son under complete sedation and safety. We agreed and the procedure went off great at his office. The nurses kept us informed all through the process and my son came through with a smile on his face. We could not have been happier for him. I would refer D. Salas to any one with children with handicaps of any sort. Dr. Salas was very kind and smiling and professional. The procedure took a very short time considering two extractions. He stitched the upper and lower gums with dissolving stitches. Our son showed no signs of pain afterwards and was very happy it was so easy for him. He was completely relaxed afterwards and all he could do is talk about how he went through it like a hero. As he is to us. Thank you doctor for your work and your patience and to your staff at Northeast who were all kind and professional. If your child has challenges and has a dental problem I strongly suggest Dr. Salas.”
