(November 10, 2018, 11:10 pm)My braised beef was cooked to perfection, it was so tender I didn't need a knife. The mashed potatoes were just okay. I would highly recommend swapping them out for their shoe string fries.

(October 22, 2018, 11:42 am)Had a very enjoyable Brunch experience at Char. The food was beautifully presented, hot, and so deliciously comforting a on a chilly October morning.
The staff and owner were genuinely friendly. The ambiance and autumn decorations made our family gathering festive. The bar area is sharp and is a nice spot to watch a game.
I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and rest rooms.
Great location right off the Taconic Parkway. Nice out door seating and easy parking. -

(July 2, 2018, 2:30 pm)Pretty decent place for steaks though mine was not "charred" at all - the best steak houses give you a nice external char with a pink inside on a med. Rare steak. That expectation and the name of the place led to a slight disappointment. But my steak was good and (other than the lack of char) cooked as I ordered, service was very good and friendly, wine list could be better but I had to drive so what I ordered was fine. Overall a good place for dinner but not a blow-you-away steakhouse (which would be 5*).
