The service was excellent! The waitress did everything from making our drinks to getting our foods. She promptly attended to all of our needs. Thank you again.
Delicious food, great ambience, very friendly and kind staff. The service is always phenomenal, very attentive and welcoming. Generous portions of food. Highly recommend dining in or taking out. Hopefully Mirko will be there to attend you because his hospitality and service is superb!!!!!!!
Selo is spectacular! It was our first time trying Croatian food and everything we had was delicious!
We made an early reservation here on a whim - this area is so saturated with decent restaurants, but we really wanted to have something new and unique.
First, the host is amazing. He’s so willing to help you understand the menu and choose dishes.
We ordered a bottle of Croatian wine (red-Terrano) to start, and it was amazing.
The appetizers we ordered on the host’s recommendation were also all on point: eggplant was so flavorful, the octopus was the most tender I’d ever had in almost wondering if it was sous vide or just really fresh. And the burek. THE BUREK. Order the burek! Crispy warm bread and cheese!
For dinner we then ordered branzino (cooked and seasoned absolutely perfectly!) and the homemade pasta (unrivaled!)
We were too full for any more dishes to try or dessert and let happy with full and satisfied bellies. And prices were actually reasonable, with is rare to find these days.
Do not sleep on trying this place out for a meal. Especially if you want to try great, freshly prepared Croatian food! I will rarely give five stars to a restaurant. This one earned every one of them!
Came for lunch. Had the veal lunch pasta which my hubby LOVED. I had the Istrian gnocchi which was homemade melty cheesy goodness. the Cheese stuffed red peppers were good and a little more expensive than i would have liked. Also had the Balkan mule with the pear brandy. Would love to return to have the mixed meat platter.
There are times when you are missing home, and then you find this place, where they serve Balkan food and they have wine form your country, and then everything comes to place. The food was delicious, the service was awesome and then there was live music that reminds you of your youth. We will definitely be visiting again, this was not only food for your belly, but also food for your soul.
