I’m in my last year but I just started the school in February 6th because I moved. From what I’ve seen so far and heard, yes there’s a lot of drug and alcohol things going on, about 3 gangs around. But that’s just the bad parts to it, I’m in 834, they’re all good teachers trying to help you pass; some have good humor. Just becareful because walking by sometimes some kids do vape so..my favorite teacher by far is Mrs Toto, the computer teacher she’s humorous, kind and chill tbh. At times she’ll let you come up for lunch and work and just lightly talk. It’s not a bad school it’s just some of the students inside aren’t the best
So far I really enjoy this school. The work is tough, but I'm a hard worker and all the teachers are pretty nice. It also offers many clubs and programs to help teach kids. Honestly a very clean and safe place with kind people and fair classes. Good luck to any of you who are coming here later.
Started 2014 in sixth grade and 2016-2017 my last year in I.S.5, this school is actually fun. Wow we are actually the first eight graders to graduate with communities since when I was in sixth and seventh grade we had academies. I would recommend students to try to get into the honors class its actually really fun. Love my class-841.
