“Great park, all the equipment is new and in great condition. The park is clean. The kids enjoy playing here but I noticed today May 2nd that some adults were smoking on park grounds. I did not like that and had to leave with my daughter. I also don’t like adults without children thinking this is a place to hang out in the afternoon.”

“Nice place to have some fun. The park is very nice in the day time just wouldn't recommend coming at night. There is a tennis court, a small track, a baseball/soccer/football field and a basketball court. Also there are lots of seats and swings if you just want to catch your breath.”

“For being so close to NYC, surprisingly, this park feels spacious and rural. With an unimpeded view towards the Atlantic, the waves crash down and spray mist along the coast. Watching the sunset, with relatively few visitors, and an open sky was a great respite from the hustle and bustle of NYC.”

“I give it five stars solely on the basis of it being a “legal” place to fly. Need more places like this throughout the boroughs. Otherwise the small space and tall tree don’t make for the best environment to fly drones. However once you clear the trees you do get great views of the surrounding area such as the golf course, Jackie Robinson Parkway, cemetery where Jackie Robinson is buried, Franklin K. Lane High School, and Manhattan in the horizon.”

“Percy & Ella Heron worked for years to get an abandoned lot designated a community garden. The Herons have passed and their house has been demolished to make way for a new 2-family house on their lot. The community garden they built is still used by the community to host non-profit outdoor events and weekend activities by neighbors and activities for kids.”
