Lions Den Martial Arts and Fitness

I spent about six months here before suspending my membership to focus on school. This is a great gym for anyone who is new to their chosen sport (like I was when I started) and is looking to gain a knowledge of fundamentals in a safe and easy-going environment. But don’t mistake easy-going for easy, because classes can be quite intense! Most activities are done in pairs, so if you are out of shape (like I am) you may feel pressure to over-exert yourself in order to not ‘let down’ your practice partner and lessen their experience. Just know that such pressures are all in your head - nobody at this gym will ever be rude or dismissive about you needing to take things at your own pace.
Price-wise, I was very satisfied with my membership price for the classes I was taking. The gym offers different styles of membership to accommodate your habits, but the price of individual sessions can add up quite quickly if you are indecisive about what sort of membership to commit to.
What clothing or equipment you need/want will vary depending on your sport. I believe through the gym you can order/purchase just about anything you may need, and although I personally didn’t do this I know several who did and were satisfied with the quality of their gloves/etc.

I never tried any of the other gyms in the area so I can’t speak to where Lion’s Den stands with regard to the local competition. However, I think it also says something that I never felt inclined to try another gym because Lion’s Den provided everything I was looking for. 10/10 and it has my best recommendation.

This is an awesome gym with a wonderful team culture. Everybody is down-to-earth and helps one another and leans on one another. I'm so happy to have found this place so close to home to train, coach, and get to know other jiu jitsu lovers! If you're new to BJJ, wrestling, muay thai, or boxing, stop in to check it out. If you've been doing a martial art your whole life, stop in too -- there are challenging partners and classes for all ages and abilities!

I highly recommend Lion's Den. I've been training there for about 2.5 years. It's become a second home. Nothing is better than ending a tough day with a good workout. I'm learning to defend myself while getting in the best shape of my life. The coaches and members are like family. I can't imagine training anywhere else.

The lions Den is a great place for all ages to learn! We joined in March and our 10 year old Boy loves it! Something new, a great work out, respect and is being taught by an amazing group! The Lions Den is affordable, and staffed with amazing trainers! If you e ever thought about trying something new look no further! Highly recommend!

The whole family loves this gym. With so many disciplines to choose from everyone gets to take classes that they want. There is a very welcoming vibe here, and those members who are very experienced are absolutely wonderful and pointers and tips to help beginners. It's like you're welcomed into a family the minute you walk through the doors. Highly recommend for any age or experience level
