It's a hockey rink...snacks are good, snack bar employees are wonderful! Seats are semi comfortable...sometimes the view is blocked tho!
I went to see RPI hockey game. It was an awesome experience seeing the fans, enjoying the food and love for their alma mater team. The food was cheap to get. Getting school merch to show support for the teams is affordable. Parking is nice to get as you do not have to pay for it.
Very nice arena for viewing the game but the chairs and rows are all a bit too close together. Parking for general admission is very far away, and we got there about an hour before the game.
It's hard to rate a venue like this apart from the activity taking place there. As a D1 hockey rink, it is older than most but except for the far seats used when there is a sold out crowd, all of the seats have good sight lines. Parking is wanting and inconvenient.
Fun experience! General admission tickets are $15/person and you get great seats. The pep band helped to amp up the crowd, which was bigger than I expected. The concession stand is reasonably priced - $2 for hot cocoa. Parking and leaving was easy although it may be more challenging if you have mobility issues because we did have to walk a short way uphill.
